Copywriting Editor (Part-Time – Long-Term Growth Opportunity)

Job ID: 40129154

Budget: $2 – $8 CAD

We’re a growing marketing agency looking for a detail-oriented copywriting editor (not an agency) to help us refine and polish written content for our clients. This is a part-time role with the potential to grow into a long-term, full-time position for the right person.

You will not be writing from scratch. We already have a strong writer producing first drafts. Your role is to edit, refine, and align content with each client’s brand voice, preferences, and approval guidelines—making sure every piece is client-ready.

If you love editing, improving clarity, strengthening tone, and catching the small details that make content convert—we want to hear from you.

>What We’re Looking For
- A copy editor who can elevate existing drafts, not rewrite everything unnecessarily
- Someone who understands brand voice, tone, and client preferences
- A motivated individual interested in growing with our team (not juggling dozens of clients or running an agency)

>Responsibilities
- Content Editing – Edit blog posts, SEO articles, landing pages, and marketing content written by our internal writer
- Brand Voice Alignment – Adjust tone, phrasing, and structure to match each client’s brand and style guidelines
- Client Preference Optimization – Make edits based on what clients like, dislike, approve, or reject (topics, wording, framing, etc.)
- Clarity & Flow Improvements – Improve readability, structure, transitions, and messaging
- Final Quality Control – Ensure content is polished, consistent, and ready for client approval

>Requirements
- Proven experience editing written content (blogs, SEO content, landing pages, or marketing copy)
- Strong understanding of English grammar, tone, and readability
- Ability to adapt writing to different brand voices and audiences
- Excellent attention to detail (this role is all about the final polish)
- Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions efficiently
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines

>Bonus Skills (Not Required but Nice to Have)
- SEO content editing experience
- Familiarity with content style guides or brand guidelines
- Experience editing content for different industries or niches
- Basic WordPress or Google Docs collaboration experience

>Job Details
- Part-time: ~20 hours/week
- Schedule: Flexible, but within Vancouver time zone (Monday–Friday)
- Rate: $2–$3/hour CAD to start
- Growth Opportunity: We’re looking for someone who wants a long-term role and can grow into a core team member

>To Apply:
Please send:
- Samples of edited content (before/after examples are a big plus), or
- Links to content you’ve edited and improved
- A short explanation of how you approach editing for brand voice and client preferences

Tell us why you enjoy editing (not just writing) and how you ensure content gets approved by clients.
