Biography Manuscript Editing & Proofing
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a completed non-fiction biography that now needs a professional polish before I take it to market. I am looking for a keen editorial eye to review the full manuscript from front matter to final line, tightening structure where needed, correcting grammar and punctuation, and flagging any inconsistencies in tone or chronology.
The goal is simple: deliver a press-ready, error-free document I can confidently upload to Amazon KDP and other print-on-demand platforms. Alongside the clean final file, I would like a tracked-changes version so I can see every adjustment you make. If you routinely prepare style sheets or provide a brief editorial report, that would be a welcome bonus.
Experience with life-story or memoir projects is strongly preferred, and familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style will help us stay on the same page. Please include a short sample of previous biography work—or, if you’d rather, edit the first 1,000 words of my manuscript as a sample—so I can get a feel for your style.
