Shopify Rebuy Expert to Build Full AOV Upsell System

Job ID: 40318208

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

Looking for an experienced Shopify + Rebuy expert to build a complete AOV (Average Order Value) system for a premium skincare brand. The goal is to move customers from single-product orders to simple 2–3 product routines without hurting conversion rate or making the experience feel pushy.

Full job description (paste into Freelancer)
We are looking for a high-level Shopify + Rebuy expert to build a complete AOV (Average Order Value) system across our store.

This is not a basic setup job. You must understand:

Conversion rate optimization

Customer psychology

Upsell sequencing (not just adding random widgets)

Goal:

Increase AOV immediately

Turn 1-product customers into 2–3 product customers

Maintain clean, premium UX

Do not hurt conversion rate

Brand context:

Premium skincare brand (Isla Beauty)

Hero product: Lip Balm (strong converter)

Core products in the system: Lip Balm, Elixir, Storm Serum

Secondary products (low priority): Day Melt, Snow Scrub

You will fully set up and optimize:

Product page (PDP) upsells

Cart / slide cart upsells using Rebuy Smart Cart

Checkout upsells

Post-purchase upsells

Bundle and discount logic

Full rules and logic system

Tracking and QA

Core strategy:

Guide customers into simple routines

Increase basket size intelligently

Avoid cluttered or spammy UX

Exact flows to implement:

Product page upsells (PDP)

Lip Balm page: show Elixir as primary upsell, Storm Serum as secondary

Elixir page: upsell Storm Serum and Lip Balm

Storm Serum page: upsell Elixir and Lip Balm

Secondary products (Day Melt, Snow Scrub) appear below main upsells as “Build your full routine”

Rules: max 2 main upsells, mobile optimized, premium design

Cart / Rebuy Smart Cart
Use logic such as:

If cart has Lip Balm only: show Elixir (primary) and Storm Serum (secondary)

If cart has Lip Balm + Elixir: show Storm Serum only

If cart has Lip Balm + Storm: show Elixir only

If cart has 2+ products: show only one “Complete your routine” suggestion
Also show bundle progress, e.g.:

1 product → add 1 more → unlock small discount

2 products → add 1 more → unlock higher discount

Bundle / discount system

Dynamic discount tiers:

2 products → small discount

3+ products → higher discount

Must:

Auto-apply

Be visible in cart

Work cleanly with Rebuy

Not conflict with upsell logic

Checkout upsell

Trigger only when cart has 1 product

Show just one upsell (Elixir or Storm) with simple, benefit-focused copy

Must not disrupt or slow the checkout flow

Post-purchase upsell (critical)

Must be true one-click upsell

Must support Shop Pay and Apple Pay
Example logic:

Lip Balm only → offer Elixir (primary) and Storm Serum (secondary)

Lip Balm + Elixir → offer Storm Serum

Elixir only → offer Storm Serum

2+ products → no post-purchase upsell

Global rules

Never show a product that is already in the cart

No duplicate or looping upsells

Max 1–2 upsells visible at any time

Prioritize Elixir first when relevant

Mobile-first, fast loading, premium brand feel

No spammy popups

Tracking
You must ensure tracking for:

AOV lift

Upsell conversion rate

Post-purchase conversion rate
Integrate with Shopify analytics and any existing ad tracking where possible.

QA and testing
You must test:

All cart scenarios (1, 2, 3 products)

Accept and reject flows for each upsell

Discount logic

Mobile and desktop

Shop Pay / Apple Pay flows

Deliverables:

Fully working system across:

Product pages

Cart / Smart Cart

Checkout

Post-purchase

Bundles and discounts

Loom-style video walkthrough showing:

How to edit upsells

How to change products and logic

How bundles and discounts work

Ideal candidate:

Deep experience with Rebuy on Shopify

Strong understanding of CRO and AOV

Has worked with premium brands

Thinks strategically, not just technically

When you apply, please include:

Examples of Rebuy setups you have built

One or two things you would improve in this flow

Your approach to increasing AOV without hurting conversion rate
