Landlord leases to Tenant and Tenant leases from Landlord the premises at 19114 Northridge Dr, Northville, MI 48167 for a term of 12 months, such term beginning on August 1st 2023 and ending on July 31, 2024.
Amount of Security deposit $2,250.00 US Dollars
Series of events:
March 3rd: notified Landlord I would not be renewing my lease another year
March 18th: Landlord stated she had a possible renter who would want to occupy the premises starting in May.
March 24th : Landlord showed rental property to a potential renter
March 24th : Landlord listed the rental property online
March 30th : Landlord showed rental property to a potential renter
May 14th : Landlord asked how soon I could be moved out. I said by June 1st, unless she needed sooner.
May 19th : Landlord showed rental property to potential renter, and asked me if I could be moved out by May 26th because the new renter wanted to start the lease by June 1st.
May 24th : I moved out
June 8th : I asked about my security deposit and was ignored
June 15th: I asked about my security deposit and was ignored
June 24th: I asked about my security deposit and was told I broke my lease, that we had a 2 year lease agreement (which we did not) and that I agreed to forfeit the deposit (which I did not).
