Project Claim for Railway Project
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
The railway upgrade is now physically complete, yet the hand-over date slid well past the contractual programme. I have to submit a formal contractor’s claim that clearly sets out a “Delay in Completion” argument, apportions responsibility to the Client, and quantifies the extra time and related costs.
Key points the draft must cover
• Contract particulars and the notice history that preserves entitlement.
• A narrative linking the Client-driven late instructions and approvals to the slippage.
• Recognition that adverse weather (heavy rain and snowfall) compounded the delay, with meteorological data appended for context.
• Updated programme analysis (preferably Windows or Time-Impact) showing critical-path movement day-by-day.
• Calculation of prolongation costs in line with the pricing schedule and any preliminaries formula in the contract.
• Claim summary, conclusions, and a clear statement of the additional days and monetary compensation sought, ready for submission on company letterhead.
Please structure the document so it complies with common FIDIC / NEC language and can be adapted quickly should the Employer’s Representative request further particulars. Word or editable PDF is fine; attach any native schedule files (Primavera P6 or MS Project) you use in the analysis.
I will supply the signed contract, the original and updated programmes, site diaries, and cost records as soon as we agree on terms.
