HR Operations Specialist for Growing Company
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HR freelancer to support our company’s people operations. Our organisation is in a stage of growth and restructuring, and we require expert guidance to ensure that our recruitment, employment contracts, and termination processes are conducted in a professional and compliant manner that protects the employer’s interests while remaining fair to employees.
Scope of Work:
• Recruitment & Onboarding
• Drafting job descriptions and advertisements.
• Shortlisting, interviewing, and reference checking.
• Advising on fair and compliant recruitment practices.
• Contracts & Employment Terms
• Preparing professional employment contracts (casual, part-time, fixed-term, contractor).
• Ensuring compliance with Australian labour law and Fair Work Act requirements.
• Incorporating clauses around probation, performance, confidentiality, IP, and termination.
• Termination & Exit Processes
• Advising on lawful and fair termination procedures.
• Drafting termination letters and documentation.
• Supporting employer protection from legal and financial risks.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in HR and employment law compliance (Australia).
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and relevant awards.
• Ability to draft professional, legally sound employment contracts.
• Practical experience in handling staff onboarding and termination.
• Excellent communication and discretion.
Engagement:
• Freelance / contract basis.
• Flexible hours, project-based as required.
• Work closely with the Company Director and Operations team.
