1 A4 page essay / article
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for someone who can write a one page A4 essay in form of an article with the usual structure. Subject and title of the article is "Library Of Things". The movement "Library of Things" is described in wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_of_Things). I am a librarian with very little time but plenty of ideas. The article should be written in excellent English. You can, and should, of course, use google for your background research. However, the final text should be original and thus will be scanned for plagiarism with modern s/w tools (I am a librarian) and thus should be original. All copyrights and IP-rights should be transferred to me.
The article should be informative, exciting, general background, relevant information, written to other librarians. But you have more or less freedom as long as the text stands out as an article. The language should be non-technical, but informative with a broad background. What is "Library of Things"? What is the relevance of initiating a "Library of Things" service? What is the motivation to setup such a service? Who will benefit from such a service? How can community libraries offer a "Library of Things" service in the future? Give 1 - 2 examples of existing "Library of Things" projects from around the world. An important aspect is a focus on how "Library of Things" can contribute to sustainability and ending of wasteful spending and how it might contribute to help reach the so-called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations (https://sdgs.un.org/goals). 1 A4 page, 11 pt, single-spaced text / article, 4 - 5 paragraphs.
