help writing a solicitation letter for donations to non-profit

Job ID: 37548924

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am looking for a skilled writer to help me create a solicitation letter for donations to our non-profit organization. The purpose of the letter is to raise general funds for our organization.

Target Audience:
- Our target audience for the letter is corporate sponsors and individual donors.

Tone:
- We would like the tone of the letter to be inspiring, motivating potential donors to contribute to our cause.

Skills and Experience:
- Strong writing skills and experience in crafting solicitation letters.
- Knowledge of the non-profit sector and understanding of fundraising strategies.
- Ability to create a compelling narrative and convey a sense of urgency.
- Familiarity with corporate giving and sponsorship programs.
- Attention to detail and ability to tailor the letter to the needs and interests of corporate sponsors.

I would like some help with a donation/sponsorship solicitation letter that I am writing. I have 2 companies. Company A teaches kids how to program computers (after-school, summer camps, weekend classes). Company B is a non-profit that wants to take in donations/grants/sponsorships to pay for kids who cannot afford the lessons of Company A. If an individual wants to donate $100 for helping to pay for a kid’s class, that’s fine. But I hope also that bigger companies might donate $1,000 or $5,000 type amounts for multiple kids. Can you help me write this? Below is my first draft of the email. I will be sending the email out to current and previous customers of Company A. If I hire you for this project, I would like to have a brief (5 or 10 minute?) call and then you can edit the first draft. I’m thinking we need only a couple revisions and we will have the final product. I would like to wrap this up today if possible. Thanks!

Dear Friends and Parents of Company A,
We at Company A want to wish you a wonderful holiday season!
When I started this company 8 years ago, it was obvious to me how valuable our coding lessons are to elementary and middle school students. The kids soak up the content (as they continue to do) and gain confidence as well as critical thinking skills, while having lots of fun doing so.
However, it also became apparent to me that with the Company A business model, we brought our experiences to only half of the kids who want and need it. We bring (and continue to bring) our lessons to the kids of families who can afford our classes and camps. But what about the other half of the kids?
It is for the less affluent students that we formed a non-profit “Company B.” The idea is that the non-profit will accept grants and donations in order to pay the way for kids who cannot afford Company A camps and classes.
Company B was recently approved by the IRS as a 501-c3 corporation, so donations made to this organization are fully tax-deductible. It is our hope that individuals and businesses will consider donating to this new organization as the year wraps up and giving budgets are expended.
If you have any questions or would like to donate some money to Company B please email xxx. Thanks for your consideration and may you have a joyous holiday season and blessed New Year!
