Write Kids' Wellness Storybook
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I want to create an engaging children’s book for early readers (7-9 years) that naturally weaves together three core themes—nutrition and healthy eating, exercise and physical activity, and mental health and well-being. The story should feature relatable characters and everyday situations, letting young readers see how small choices add up to a healthier, happier life.
The language must stay age-appropriate: short sentences, clear vocabulary, and plenty of dialogue to keep the pace lively. While the narrative drives the book, the information behind it needs to be evidence-based and simplified without sounding preachy.
Deliverables
• Complete manuscript in an editable file (Word or Google Docs).
• Page-by-page illustration brief describing characters, settings, and action (illustrations themselves aren’t required).
• Two or three back-matter pages with kid-friendly tips or discussion prompts for parents and teachers.
Acceptance criteria
• Reading level fits early readers.
• Health facts align with reputable sources (e.g., CDC, WHO).
• Tone remains upbeat, inclusive, and empowering.
If this sounds like your kind of project, tell me how you’d structure the story and share a short sample of previous children’s health writing so I can get a feel for your voice.
