Weekly Article Editing Partner
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Every week I release a new batch of long-form articles and I need a sharp editorial eye to give each one a final polish before publication. The work is strictly article-focused—no blog blurbs or social posts—so you’ll be diving into pieces that average 800–1,200 words and require a balance of structural editing, line-level refinement, and meticulous proofing.
Here’s how the collaboration will flow: I’ll place the draft manuscripts in a shared Google Drive folder every Friday. By the following Tuesday, I expect them returned with clear tracked changes, concise margin notes for any larger rewrites, and a clean copy ready for layout. Consistency matters, so an internal style sheet (Oxford comma, US spelling, AP tone) is included; please follow it and add to it when new edge cases appear.
I value proactive feedback—flag unclear arguments, tighten headings, verify figures and citations, and watch out for repetitive phrasing. If you spot gaps that need author input, highlight them; I’ll address those before final sign-off.
If you’re comfortable working remotely, keeping tight weekly turnaround times, and have a solid grasp of Google Docs (or Word with commenting), I’d love to start this coming cycle. Please share one or two edited samples that showcase your before-and-after touch so I can see your style.
