Website Copywriting for Nonprofit Membership Site

The Alliance of Responsible Gun Ownership (ARGO) is seeking an effective Copywriter for 3/4wk project in providing the necessary copy for our website currently in development. Research, direction, and specific targets will be provided by leadership team.
Responsibilities:
● Write compelling content for website
● Produce well-written content that is SEO friendly and optimized for conversion
● Create compelling ad copy, landing pages, with use of our current literature and vendors.
● Collaborate with designers and creative teams
● Work with analysts to ensure messaging is consistent across the company
● Brainstorm and manage projects and juggle multiple deliverables
● Define key messages and brand voice for external communications
Requirements:
● Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
● Familiarity with keyword research
● Experience with SEO copywriting best practices
● Experience with social media and content marketing
● Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
● Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work
● A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field

The Alliance of Responsible Gun Ownership (ARGO) will connect and empower gun owners while
educating, training, and advocating for gun safety. ARGO will meet the unmet need for a credible,
transparent, trustworthy membership organization for people who participate in responsible gun
ownership while promoting fair Federal and State level rules and guidelines to lower gun violence. ARGO
consists of the “real diverse faces” of everyday Americans who share these values and represent the
majority opinion in our society.
The narrative for law abiding gun owners had been hijacked by the extreme right and left. Let’s reset it to
represent the majority of sensible people in America.
