Translate Product Descriptions Portuguese
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m refreshing the product pages on my e-commerce site and need the existing English descriptions rendered into natural, compelling Portuguese. The job covers website content only—specifically the individual product descriptions—and many of them contain industry-specific terminology that must be handled with absolute consistency.
Here’s how the workflow will look: I’ll share a spreadsheet that lists each SKU, the source text, and a notes column. You translate into the adjacent Portuguese column, keeping any embedded HTML tags or line-break markers exactly where they are. Maintain the friendly, sales-oriented tone while adapting phrases so they resonate with Portuguese-speaking shoppers in both Portugal and Brazil. If the same term needs slightly different wording for each market, flag it in a note rather than rewriting the paragraph twice.
Because technical terms pop up throughout the catalogue, I will also need a small glossary where you log the accepted Portuguese equivalent of each key term you encounter. That way future updates stay uniform.
Acceptance criteria
• Every description fully translated—no machine-translation artifacts
• Glossary of recurring industry terms included
• All model numbers, units, and HTML tags preserved
• Final file spell-checked and ready for upload
If you have previous e-commerce or product-page samples, please mention them in your proposal, or translate a short snippet of your choice to demonstrate your style. I’m ready to get started as soon as I find the right fit.
