Technical Writing Assistant Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run a fast-turnaround technical writing service and the workload is growing faster than I can polish each document on my own. I’m looking for a reliable assistant who can jump in quickly and keep the production line moving without sacrificing clarity or accuracy.
Most of the work revolves around technical writing—think installation guides, configuration notes, release summaries, and occasionally longer form pieces such as white papers or a concise technical blog post when a client asks for it. You might be expanding a rough outline, tightening up grammar, standardising terminology, or weaving scattered specifications into a coherent section. Whatever the format, the goal is always the same: deliver a clean, client-ready document on (or ahead of) schedule.
You should be comfortable working in Word and Google Docs, tracking changes, following a style guide, and flagging any gaps in source material so nothing slips through the cracks. Familiarity with Markdown, basic screenshot editing, or simple diagram tools is a plus but not a deal-breaker.
Typical flow:
• I share drafts, notes, or voice-to-text transcriptions.
• You return a polished version with tracked edits and brief comments explaining any outstanding questions.
• We iterate once if needed before sending the final file to the client.
If you’ve handled similar quick-turn projects and can commit to fast, dependable turnaround times, let’s talk. Please include a short example or link that shows your technical writing or editing style and outline the average number of hours you can allocate each week.
