SEO Content Specialist for Ed-Tech

Job Description

We are looking for a creative Freelance Writer who can produce compelling and informative content on a project basis. In this position, writers will be responsible for researching and writing articles, blog posts, and other materials that engage our audience and promote accuracy. Candidates must have excellent writing skills, along with a strong understanding of grammar and syntax and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Project Description

We are partnering with one of India’s fastest-growing Ed-Tech startups on a year-long content-building project. The company is on a mission to bridge the gap between industry and academia by equipping individuals with industry-relevant skills. Their offerings include programs for students right after Intermediate/12th grade to secure high-paying tech jobs and courses for aspiring professionals to become skilled software developers through a proven curriculum.

Recognized by prestigious institutions such as NSDC (under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship), NASSCOM, and Startup India, the company aims to upskill India’s youth and transform them into a global powerhouse in technology. The focus of this project is to create high-quality, employability-focused content that resonates with a wide audience and inspires career transformation at scale.

Project Guidelines

- The content output must meet specific requirements, including being free from grammar and spelling errors, plagiarism, and AI-generated text.

- The Client has specifically requested human-generated content only, and the article should not be AI-generated and later humanized by software. We will check each content page through our internal AI tool.

- Filler content is not permitted; hence, the complete word count should meet the topic's relevancy.

- Basic SEO guidelines should be met and inspected by the writer only. The content must meet the SEO guidelines provided once the writer is onboard.

- Deliver publish-ready content following the specifications and quality standards outlined in the approved brief. The content will be free of errors (including grammar, spelling, and plagiarism) and fully compliant with any other requirements provided by the client.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Researching and writing high-quality content
Meeting deadlines for submission and re-works
Meeting the content needs and preferences
Editing and revising content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Implementing SEO practices to optimize content
Staying up-to-date with the latest information in Computer, IT, and study-abroad trends
Communicating with POC and responding to feedback promptly
Adhering to project guidelines and client specifications
Managing workload and prioritizing tasks effectively
Maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times

Qualifications

Excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong research skills
Knowledge of Computer Science and study abroad trends
Ability to work independently
Basic knowledge of SEO and content marketing
Experience in content creation
Portfolio of writing samples
Prior freelance experience is preferred
A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
