Spanish-English Curriculum Scriptwriter
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I already have a draft curriculum in place and, while I bring some experience in curriculum development, I want to raise the quality bar. I’m looking for a Spanish-English Language Specialist who can do two things equally well: give laser-focused feedback on expressions and vocabulary, and craft engaging lesson scripts for beginner-to-intermediate English speakers studying Spanish.
Here’s what the work looks like day to day. First, I will send you the google docs file with the curriculum planning. You’ll point out where the Spanish feels stilted or where the English gloss misses cultural nuance. Although I'm an educator with native Spanish skills, I need a second-pair of eyes for deeper expertise to make sure every phrase rings true and is pedagogically sound, including some grammar. Next, you’ll draft immersive lesson scripts that follow Teuida’s guidelines. Think short, conversational scenes that weave in LATAM (Mexico preferably), non-verbal cues, and those delightful authentic phrases textbooks don't usually mention. I’ll supply the learning objectives; you supply the storytelling flair and humor (learning should be fun!).
Deliverables I need from you:
• Detailed curriculum review with comments focused on expressions, vocabulary, and grammar.
• Fresh, culturally rich scripts for lessons (based on the expressions and vocab selected in the curriculum).
Acceptance criteria:
• Native-level proficiency in both Spanish and English
• Preferably Mexican Spanish speakers
• Ability to blend learning with creative storytelling and humor to build fun scripts
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Deliver quality work on schedule
• Positive energy and a collaborative attitude
Preferred:
• Experience in teaching Spanish to English speakers
• Experience in writing scripts for online language courses
• A passion for language learning
