Here’s what I have in mind. You’ll research and select memorable moments, methods, and traditions from earlier decades of schooling, then weave them into short, self-contained stories. Think of each story as a window into a particular practice or era, complete with context, challenges, and the lesson today’s teacher can take away. Accuracy matters, but so does warmth; I want readers to feel nostalgia and, at the same time, pick up practical inspiration for their own classrooms.

• A manuscript of roughly 20–25 cohesive stories (length flexible if the flow demands) formatted in a single document
• Brief introductions or transitions that tie the stories together into a smooth chronicle
• A references section noting any key sources, archives, or interviews you draw on
