EN-JP Media Localization Partner

Job ID: 40188581

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m looking to build an ongoing partnership with a skilled English-to-Japanese localization professional who can handle entertainment and media content with flair and precision.

Your role
• Localize streaming scripts, subtitles, marketing copy, and in-app strings so they read naturally to a Japanese audience while preserving intent and tone.
• When an AI-generated draft is supplied, refine it thoroughly and leave clear, quality-focused feedback on terminology, nuance, and style.
• Keep terminology consistent by following existing glossaries and style guides, and flag any gaps you spot.
• Meet tight turnarounds—24–48 hours is common—and stay in touch through our shared Slack and Google Sheet workflow.

What will make you shine
• Solid track record localizing films, series, games, or other entertainment/media content.
• Comfortable working in CAT tools such as MemoQ, Trados, or Smartcat and maintaining TMs.
• An eagle eye for QA issues like punctuation, character limits, or timing.
• Ability to explain linguistic choices clearly in English.

Next steps
I’ll start with a paid test of about 500 English words. If we’re both happy, you’ll join my roster for a steady flow of projects each week.

Please share:
1. Two short samples or links showcasing relevant work.
2. Your average daily capacity (source-word count).
3. The CAT tools you actively use.

I value accuracy, consistency, and collaboration, and I’m excited to find a long-term localization partner who feels the same.
