Law School Personal Statement Writer - 18/02/2026 11:56 EST

Job ID: 40240708

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need a compelling personal statement for law school. The statement should focus on my life experiences, particularly the challenges I've overcome, and how those challenges have shaped my decision to pursue a legal career.

Key requirements:
- Emphasize life experiences.
- Highlight challenges and their impact on my law journey.

Ideal skills and experience:
- Strong writing skills, especially in personal narratives.
- Experience with law school application essays.
- Ability to convey personal growth and determination.

Attached below is a rough draft of my personal statement. Here are the following issues I have:

1. I have a transition issue, after my introduction the flow of the statement is choppy.
I used a template for a format.

2. I need to tie in my life experiences and the skills obtained, and they would be useful in the legal profession

3. I need the statement to express why I want to be a lawyer.

4. Volunteerism/ community affairs is big in that arena, I attempted to use my job at the YMCA to check that box. I need to use the YMCA position and merge that into some type of volunteer experience. Just so I can check that box.

5. I need an insert that mentions my acceptance to John Marshall Law in 2004 and why I didn't pursue it at the time. (Still pursuing baseball, newly married, children, work, etc.)

6. Why I would be a great law school candidate

7. I want to keep the tone genuine and authentic.

8. I have a series of run-on's

9. It feels too wordy

I hope this helps
