Kindergarten Prep Workbook Creation
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I’m commissioning a complete A4 school-readiness workbook for children aged 4 – 6. The final book will run 60-80 pages and move from simple to more advanced skills, all written in Australian spelling- NSW Foundation font. I need everything handled—content writing, activity design, realistic yet child-friendly illustrations, layout, and final formatting—so that I can send a single print-ready PDF straight to the printer and still have the editable file (InDesign or Illustrator) for future tweaks.
Illustration Style & Theme
Please keep the artwork realistic and detailed while still engaging for preschoolers. The overall theme is “I’m Ready for Big School,” spotlighting everyday classroom life and the excitement of starting Kindergarten.
Priority Activities
• Letters & numbers
• Shapes & tracing exercises
• Cutting & colouring pages
• Introductory maths (counting, simple sums)
• Emotional preparation—packing a school bag, meeting teachers and friends
Flow & Pedagogy
Structure the workbook so each section builds on the last, beginning with recognition and tracing, then moving into independent writing, matching and basic problem-solving. I’d like clear headings, simple instructions, and occasional parent tips in unobtrusive call-outs.
Deliverables
1. Print-ready PDF (CMYK, 3 mm bleed)
2. Fully editable master file in InDesign or Illustrator, with linked assets neatly organised
3. All illustration source files (layered)
4. Copyright transfer for global print and digital distribution
