Humorous Explainer Scriptwriting

I’m building a new animated explainer and companion YouTube channel for 18- to 30-year-olds and need a sharp, witty script that turns complex ideas into laugh-out-loud, share-worthy content.
What I need from you
• One voice-over–ready script for a 90–120 second animated explainer.
• A slightly longer cut (up to 5 minutes) for the channel upload, re-using the core story with extra hooks, call-outs, and an end-screen prompt.
Tone & style
The writing has to stay humorous throughout—clever one-liners, light sarcasm, the odd pop-culture nod—but never slapstick or childish. Speak directly to young adults; keep things smart, punchy, and jargon-free.
Structure & technical notes
• Open with a grabby cold start, roll into problem/solution, then close with a memorable CTA.
• Word count should match the intended runtimes (≈ 230 wpm).
• Flag scene changes and any on-screen text cues clearly.
Timeline
Kick-off to final approval is four weeks max. I’ll review a mid-point draft and we’ll schedule one revision round before locking the script.
Acceptance criteria

• Final copy formatted for easy hand-off to animation and VO teams.
