Health & Wellness Magazine Articles
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
Our established health-and-wellness magazine is lining up the next print and digital issues, and I want a skilled writer who can supply fresh, thoroughly researched informative articles that resonate with everyday readers as well as industry professionals. Each piece should be evidence-based, written in an upbeat, conversational tone, and formatted so my layout team can drop it straight into InDesign (clean headings, subheads, and short paragraphs).
You’ll receive a theme and rough angle for every story—sometimes nutrition science, sometimes mental health, fitness bio-hacks, or preventive care breakthroughs—along with a target word count. I depend on credible, up-to-date references (peer-reviewed studies, expert quotes, recent statistics) and will ask you to cite sources in-text and provide a reference list. Plagiarism-free originality is non-negotiable; I run all copy through Grammarly and Copyscape before sending it to the editor.
Deliverables for each commissioned article:
• Word document or Google Doc, 1,000–1,500 words unless otherwise noted
• SEO-smart headline, meta description, and two pull quotes
• Royalty-free or original images suggested (optional but appreciated)
• Reference list in APA or AMA format
Turnaround is typically five to seven days per article, with quicker revisions if my editor requests tweaks. If you’re comfortable interviewing subject-matter experts by phone or Zoom for deeper pieces, let me know—that will put you at the front of the queue.
Send a short note describing your relevant magazine experience and one link or PDF to published work on health or wellness topics. I’ll assign a paid test article to the best-matched writer and, if it clicks, you can expect a steady stream of features throughout the year.
