Freelance Facebook Content & Research Assistant for Mow Ops

Job ID: 40570711

Budget: $50 – $150 AUD

We need a reliable freelancer to help create Facebook content and research relevant places to promote Mow Ops, an Australian business management software platform for lawn mowing, gardening and landscape maintenance businesses.

Mow Ops helps business operators manage quoting, scheduling, runsheets, clients, properties, invoicing, payments, SMS, receipt capture and accounting sync with Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB.

This is business software content, not lawn care or gardening advice for homeowners.

Budget

Fixed budget:

$50 AUD per fortnight maximum
6-week project
Total maximum: $150 AUD

Please only apply if you accept this budget.

Milestones

The project will be split into 3 fortnightly milestones:

* Weeks 1–2: max $50 AUD
* Weeks 3–4: max $50 AUD
* Weeks 5–6: max $50 AUD

Mow Ops may cancel after any milestone if the work does not meet the agreed standard, quality, relevance or delivery requirements.

There may be an opportunity to continue after the 6 weeks if the work is good.

Main Objective

Build a stronger Facebook presence for Mow Ops and create a useful research spreadsheet of relevant places where Mow Ops may be promoted or discussed later.

The freelancer will be given access to the Mow Ops Facebook page/profile for approved posting.

External posting is not required. The external research task is only to find good places to potentially post later.

Weekly Content Requirements

Create at least 1 Facebook post per day, 7 days per week.

Each week should include:

* 2–3 article-style posts
* 5 short posts
* 2–3 short video posts

Some video posts may count as part of the 7 weekly posts.

Article-Style Posts

Create 2–3 per week.

Approximate length: 250–500 words each.

These should explain a business problem and show how Mow Ops helps solve it.

Example topics:

* quoting jobs faster
* reducing admin
* organising daily runsheets
* scheduling repeat work
* invoicing after a job
* tracking payments
* managing clients and properties
* syncing with Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB
* capturing receipts for fuel, parts and repairs

Short Posts

Create 5 per week.

Approximate length: 80–150 words each.

These can include:

* feature highlights
* quick business tips
* workflow examples
* app updates
* free trial reminders
* questions for engagement
* common admin pain points

Video Posts

Create 2–3 per week.

Approximate length: 15–45 seconds each.

Videos can be simple but must look clear and professional.

They may use:

* screenshots
* screen recordings
* Canva-style clips
* captions
* app walkthroughs
* feature highlights

Video topics should focus on Mow Ops features such as quoting, scheduling, runsheets, invoicing, payment tracking, receipt capture, accounting sync and mobile app use in the field.

Important Content Direction

The content must target:

* lawn mowing business owners
* gardening business owners
* landscape maintenance operators
* solo operators
* small crews
* contractors who quote, schedule, invoice and manage clients

Do not create content for homeowners or the general public.

Avoid topics like:

* how to mow your lawn
* garden care tips
* watering advice
* best plants for your backyard
* seasonal lawn care tips for homeowners

The content must focus on business operations, admin, scheduling, invoicing, quoting and software workflows.

Review Before Posting

Where possible, posts should be prepared for review before going live.

Mow Ops especially wants to review:

* article-style posts
* video posts
* promotional posts
* posts mentioning pricing, integrations, app availability or free trial details

Once approved, the freelancer may post to the Mow Ops Facebook page/profile.

Website and App-Based Content

The freelancer must review the Mow Ops website and create content based on the actual product.

Content may be based on:

* the Mow Ops website
* web portal features
* iOS app features
* Android app features
* screenshots or screen recordings provided
* guidance provided by Mow Ops

Content must be accurate and relevant to what Mow Ops actually does.

Promotion Research Spreadsheet

Create and maintain a spreadsheet of relevant places where Mow Ops may be promoted, discussed or shared in the future.

Add 1–2 highly relevant links per day, or 7–14 links per week.

Links must be relevant to lawn mowing, gardening, landscape maintenance, field service, trade businesses or small business software.

Relevant places may include:

* lawn mowing contractor Facebook groups
* gardening business groups
* landscape maintenance business groups
* relevant Australian trade business groups
* solo operator and small business groups
* field service software discussion groups
* lawn mowing contractor forums
* mowing and gardening business associations
* Australian small business communities
* industry directories or business networking places

Each spreadsheet entry should include:

* name
* link
* platform type
* target audience
* whether it is relevant to business owners/operators
* whether promotion appears allowed
* rules or notes if available
* suggested posting approach
* priority: high, medium or low

Expected Fortnightly Output

Each fortnight should include approximately:

* 14 Facebook posts total
* 4–6 article-style posts
* 10 short posts
* 4–6 short video posts
* 14–28 relevant research links
* short summary of work completed
* notes on the best promotion opportunities found

Skills Required

The ideal freelancer should have experience with:

* Facebook content creation (NOT ADs)
* simple video creation
* Canva or similar tools
* basic market research
* spreadsheet organisation
* small business content writing
* SaaS, tradies, field service, lawn mowing, gardening or landscape maintenance businesses

Australian small business or trade business experience would be helpful.

Application Requirements

Please briefly explain:

* how you would research places to promote Mow Ops
* how you would find business-owner audiences, not homeowner audiences
* how you would create content from the website and app features
* what tools you use for simple graphics and videos
* confirmation that you accept the fixed budget

Please do not apply with only generic gardening or lawn care content examples.
