Fantasy Children’s Book, Ages 6-8

Job ID: 40555176

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m ready to commission a fantasy story for early readers (ages 6–8) that celebrates the power of imagination. The tone should be playful yet age-appropriate, with simple sentences, strong dialogue, and just enough suspense to keep children turning pages on their own.

Scope
• Length: about 1,500–2,000 words split into 8–12 short chapters.
• Theme: imagination is the driving force—ordinary settings should blossom into magical realms.
• Reading level: early reader vocabulary and sentence structure (think leveled readers, grade 2–3).
• Illustrations are not required, but please write with visuals in mind so an artist can easily follow.
• Original, unpublished work only; I will run plagiarism checks.

Deliverables
1. Manuscript in editable Word or Google Docs format.
2. One-paragraph back-cover blurb.
3. Brief character list with descriptions.
4. Chapter-by-chapter summary (3–4 sentences each) for parent/teacher guidance.

Acceptance criteria
• Story fits the word count and chapter targets.
• Fantasy elements arise naturally from a real-world starting point.
• Core message clearly inspires imaginative thinking without sounding preachy.
• Language and content are fully suitable for 6- to 8-year-olds.

If you’ve written for this age group before, feel free to share a short sample paragraph so I can hear your narrative voice. I’m excited to see how you’ll turn an everyday moment into an unforgettable adventure.
