Engaging Student History Essays

Job ID: 39936349

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I’m building a digital newsletter aimed squarely at students and need a writer who can turn solid historical research into lively, digestible essays. Each piece should be accurate enough to satisfy a keen history teacher yet engaging enough to hold a teenager’s attention on the bus ride home.

You’ll be free to range across any era—ancient to contemporary—as long as the narrative hooks the reader and the facts are verifiable. Think of the tone as approachable scholarship: clear explanations, vivid anecdotes, and a takeaway that sparks curiosity rather than lectures.

Here’s what I’m after:
• 5–7 original essays (600–800 words each) formatted for quick newsletter insertion
• At least two credible sources cited per essay (primary or peer-reviewed where possible)
• A snappy headline and 1–2 sentence teaser for every piece

Submit everything in Google Docs so we can comment and track revisions together. If you have experience weaving in images, timelines, or sidebar trivia, let me know—that’s a plus but not a requirement.
