Water Treatment and Distribution Course.
I’m a working professional in the water treatment and distribution field. My goal is create a comprehensive course that covers everything in this field. The aim is to make the course both entertaining and informative.
This course will be used to provide continuing education credits for working professionals and also to be used as a study guide for anyone taking one of the SWRCB exams in either Water Distribution or Water Treatment. Each segment of the class is to be presented in video format, with slides and audio to support the slides, so the ideal candidate for this job will be well versed in creating slides and possible animations, although animations are not a must. The narration must be one of the strong points of the class, so it’s important that it is done clearly and ideally come from a native English speaker. I can however, do with just the script and provide the narration myself. The classes will be broken up into various segments all of which will include a small multiple choice quiz on the subject at the end of the segment. The audio must be presented in a way that is descriptive so that if an individual was to only listen to the course, he or she would still be able to have all the information necessary to successfully complete the quiz at the end of the segment.
Although the water treatment and distribution industry, and the way that exams and certificates are administered, are similar throughout the country, the focus for this course is for the water treatment and distribution exams and certifications in California. Ideally each segment would have a minimum of two hours of content including the video/audio and time for the quiz. 20-30 minute segments followed by 10-15 minutes for a multiple choice quiz seems ideal but I am open to suggestion as long as each class is a minimum of 2 hours long, including the time for the quizzes. I have included the expected range of knowledge for the exams which can also be used as an outline for the class segments.
I have physical books with a lot of the information that I can scan and send, and also material I have found on the web that I can forward. There will still need to be some research done on your part to include all of the subcategories. You can exclude the subcategories with the D3-D5 in front of them for now. Those can be included later as they are part of the more advanced subjects.
Disinfection is just one of the many subjects I will be including in the course, but I will be giving the opportunity to several freelancers in the hope to find the right fit for the remainder of the classes.
