SEO Consultant for PHP Job Portal

We run a custom PHP-based job portal called Finploy.com, focused on jobs in banking, NBFCs, and financial services across India. We are looking to improve our organic traffic by creating city-wise and category-wise SEO landing pages, similar to strategies used by Naukri, Indeed, ApnaJobs, etc.

We already have a trusted in-house PHP development team (based in Chennai) — we are not looking for coding help or server access. What we need is technical SEO guidance and a clear plan that our developers can implement.

Scope of Work:
Review current website structure and landing page content

Suggest optimized SEO structure for:

/jobs-in-city pages (e.g., /jobs-in-mumbai)

/hire-in-city pages (e.g., /hire-in-mumbai)

Category pages (e.g., “Loan Sales Jobs”, “Backoffice Jobs”)

Provide:

Page layout plans (H1, meta title, meta description, intro text, content block)

Internal linking strategy (from homepage and footer)

Recommended URL structure

Sitemap update plan (XML format)

.htaccess rewrite rules (if needed for SEO URLs)

Google Search Console guidance for indexation

Schema markup recommendations (if applicable)

Guide our in-house dev team via clear documentation or Zoom (no code execution needed)


Security Note:
We will not share codebase or cPanel access. You will only provide consulting and documentation, and our internal team will handle the technical implementation.

Ideal Freelancer Profile:
Proven experience in technical SEO for custom-coded PHP websites

Knowledge of SEO best practices for location-based or job listing websites

Familiarity with .htaccess, canonical tags, crawlability, internal linking

Knows how to work with development teams remotely

Experience improving search rankings without relying on paid ads


Timeline:
We are looking for quick results. We want the consultant to deliver the full SEO structure and guidance within 5–7 working days.


Deliverables Format:
Google Docs / Word document with detailed instructions

Sample content templates for city/category pages

Optional screen recordings or diagrams


How to Apply:
Share 2–3 similar projects you’ve worked on (custom PHP sites or large SEO implementations)

Confirm you're comfortable providing SEO-only support (no coding access)

Mention any tools you’ll use (e.g., Screaming Frog, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush)



Payment & Bonus Structure:
This is a consulting-only assignment — we will execute your plan in-house.

Base payment will be milestone-based:

Milestone 1: On delivery of detailed SEO plan for location/category landing pages (structure, linking, sitemap, rewrite rules, etc.)

Milestone 2 (Bonus): If within 4–6 weeks of implementation, at least 5 targeted city or category pages appear in the top 20 Google search results in India for terms like “Jobs in Mumbai”, “Loan Sales Jobs”, “Jobs in Chennai”, etc., we will release a performance bonus milestone.

We understand SEO is long-term, but this helps us track practical outcomes from your strategy.
