Content Creator (Urban Planning & Gender Equity Focus) for SheCity India
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
SheCity India is a new initiative dedicated to reimagining cities through a gender-inclusive lens. We create research, conversations, and tools like the Gendered Public Space Index (GPSI) to make urban spaces safer, more accessible, and more inclusive for women and marginalized groups.
We are looking for a content creator and strategist who can co-create content with us across print (articles, reports, briefs) and digital media (social media, video scripts, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Your Role Will Include:
- Writing high-quality articles, briefs, and reports on gender & cities (with provided research and inputs).
- Creating video scripts for SheCity Conversations (our podcast & YouTube series).
- Developing engaging social media content (LinkedIn posts, Instagram carousels/reels, YouTube descriptions).
- Helping with visual storytelling (working with a designer/video editor if needed).
- Aligning all content with SheCity India’s voice: professional, feminist, urban, and accessible.
Requirements:
- Strong background or familiarity with urban planning, gender studies, mobility, or related fields.
- Excellent writing skills (English) – ability to translate complex policy/urban ideas into clear, engaging content.
- Experience in content strategy (social + long-form).
- Basic understanding of video/podcast scripting.
- (Bonus) Experience working with NGOs, think tanks, urban research orgs, or gender-equity projects.
Deliverables (first 2 months):
- 2 research-based articles / reports (short white paper style).
- 8–10 LinkedIn posts + 8–10 Instagram content pieces (scripts + captions).
- 2–3 YouTube video/podcast scripts.
Style We Want:
- Thoughtful, research-backed, but accessible to a wider audience.
- Blend of policy depth + storytelling.
- Able to adapt tone for different platforms (LinkedIn = professional, Instagram = visual & engaging, YouTube = conversational).
Budget:
- Open to proposals (please indicate hourly or project-based rates).
- This will be an ongoing collaboration for the right candidate.
