Bachelor's Thesis Tutoring in Academic Research

Job ID: 37573045

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I need a skilled academic tutor to guide me through writing my 18,000-word bachelor's thesis. My thesis is based on academic research, and I require assistance in several aspects of the project, including:

I am a student writing an 18,000-word bachelor's thesis. The thesis is about a news website's editorial and content strategy. The thesis hypothesises that the content format, focus and frequency can be adjusted to improve website visits. Some work has been done so far on the literature review, and some data collection has been started; however, at the moment, the thesis is still in the beginning stages of development. Much work needs to be done to create a solid theoretical framework. The thesis doesn't have enough survey respondents and must include interviews. No suitable respondents have yet been found to participate in the survey or the interviews, which is a major challenge.

The thesis conclusions have not been written yet.

The tutor must have experience supporting previous students with passing a bachelor thesis, academic writing, researching suitable theoretical frameworks, identifying participants for the surveys and interviews, using SPSS or Google Sheets to create statistically valid visualisations of survey data, and referencing using APA.

The tutor needs to

- be able to provide experience in writing or supporting the writing of a similar bachelor thesis.

- be familiar with reviewing the content strategy of a media company or a news publication.

-a deep understanding of the news landscape. Specifically how news stories are identified as being relevant, how news is written up and published and how variations in the content production process impact the speed at which content is produced and also the readers' experience

Key deliverables are

- Research Methodology: Helping me to conceptualize, design, and implement viable research methods.
- Literature Review: Assisting with gathering, summarizing, and interpreting relevant academic literature.
- Data Collection and Analysis: This will guide me in gathering and interpreting my research data correctly.
- APA Referencing: Ensuring my thesis is appropriately cited according to APA guidelines.
- Content Strategy: Providing support in structuring and presenting my findings effectively.
- New content cycles: Deep understanding of how news is collected, written and published
- News and Media Industry Analysis: Offering insights and feedback on my examination of the news and media industry.

The ideal candidate would have a robust academic background, experience in scholarly research, and a solid understanding of APA citation rules. Time management skills are also essential as the project will be completed within 2 to 3 months.
