Suppress Negative News Article

Job ID: 39884193

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m looking for an SEO-savvy reputation manager who can push a single unfavorable news article lower in Google’s results. The focus is on fast, low-touch tactics that fit a starter budget.

Scope of work
• Run a quick audit of the current SERP for my brand name and the individual’s first, middle, and last name.
• Draft an engaging, keyword-rich press release that highlights positive information about us.
• Distribute that release through reputable (free or low-cost) PR channels and build a handful of quality backlinks pointing to it and any other positive pages you identify.
• Re-index the new content via Google Search Console or similar tools and provide basic on-page tweaks or meta suggestions if you spot easy wins.

Deliverables
1. One press-release text file ready for distribution.
2. Proof of distribution and the live URLs created.
3. A brief before-and-after ranking snapshot for the target keyword set.
4. A short action plan (bullet points) outlining next inexpensive steps I can take on my own.

Tools and skills that will help: Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush, basic outreach or PR distribution networks, and solid keyword optimization practices.

Time frame is flexible but I’d like to see initial movement within a couple of weeks. If this quick test shows results, there’s potential for a longer engagement.
