Bilingual Content Marketer & Translator
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I run an online course currently available only in Chinese and I’m ready to open it up to an English-speaking audience without losing the nuance or cultural relevance that makes the material resonate at home. To do that, I need a content-marketing specialist who is equally comfortable writing in English and Chinese—simplified characters for the Mainland market plus natural, idiomatic English for global readers.
Your main focus will be content marketing. I’ll supply the source material, brand guidelines, and audience insights; you’ll shape that information into persuasive, search-friendly pieces that speak to both language groups and help drive enrollments.
Scope of work
• Blog posts: Translate key long-form articles (1,000–1,500 words each) and adapt them so each version reads as an original, complete with compelling headlines, sub-headers, and calls to action.
• Website pages: Localise the course landing page, FAQ, instructor bio, and a handful of feature pages, ensuring tone, voice, and conversion goals remain intact across languages.
You’ll be free to use the tools you prefer—whether that’s WordPress, Drupal, or a flat-file CMS—as long as the final copy is fully formatted and ready to paste. Familiarity with SEO best practices (keyword placement, meta descriptions) is a plus; experience marketing educational products or online learning platforms is even better.
Acceptance criteria
1. Both language versions read naturally, with no literal or machine-translated phrases.
2. Messaging follows my brand style guide and conversion goals.
3. All copy is delivered in Google Docs with tracked changes and comments for my review.
4. Final text is proof-checked and formatted for immediate upload.
If you’re confident in crafting persuasive, culturally aware content in both English and Chinese, I’d love to see examples of similar bilingual marketing work you’ve handled.
