Oklahoma Radio Wikipedia Overhaul
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I own two broadcasting companies that run 11 radio stations across Oklahoma, each with its own website. Some of these outlets already appear on Wikipedia but contain outdated information or sit in the wrong community media categories; others have no presence at all. I need every company, station, and associated site accurately represented—pages created where they don’t exist and corrected where they do.
Here’s what I’m after. First, audit the current Wikipedia landscape: identify entries that need cleanup, spot the missing ones, and map out the correct categories for each market we serve. Then update existing pages with reliable, third-party citations and consistent infobox data—callsigns, frequencies, ownership, launch dates, and licensing details. For stations or companies without pages, draft brand-new articles that follow Wikipedia’s notability and style guidelines.
I can provide basic corporate history, FCC filings, and promotional material, but I’ll count on you to help track down additional references—local news coverage, industry trade articles, and any other verifiable sources. Particular attention is needed for two areas: our current operations and services (formats, on-air talent, digital streaming, etc.) and the community impact we make through charity events, emergency broadcasts, and local partnerships.
Deliverables
• Two fully sourced company pages
• Eleven individual station pages (created or overhauled)
• Website coverage for each station (separate page or section—whichever meets best practice)
• Correct categorisation within Oklahoma community media sections
• Reference list and citation log shared in a central document
• Pages that remain tag-free after two weeks of live publication
I’d like someone comfortable with Wiki markup, VisualEditor, Page Curation tools and a proven record of edits that stick—ideally in the broadcasting sector. Outline your past Wikipedia work and how you handle sourcing in smaller markets, and propose a milestone plan (audit, drafting, publishing, monitoring).
Let’s get Oklahoma’s airwaves properly chronicled on Wikipedia.
