Mandarin Non-Fiction Developmental Editor For Personal Development Book

Job ID: 40228231

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’ve written roughly the first half of a Mandarin-language personal-development book and now need a developmental editor to help me take it from “interesting notes” to a cohesive, compelling read. Your main mission is to challenge and refine my ideas and themes, highlight gaps, and suggest stronger angles or stories that will resonate with readers who enjoy self-improvement titles.

Beyond idea development, I’m completely open to structural input. Feel free to recommend re-ordering chapters, merging sections, or adding missing bridges so the narrative flows naturally from problem to insight to action. I’m less concerned with fine-tuning grammar at this stage; depth, clarity, and reader engagement come first.

I work in Word with Track Changes, but Google Docs is fine if that’s your preference. What I’d like back is:
• An annotated manuscript with comments and questions that probe the logic, fill knowledge gaps, and push me toward sharper takeaways.
• A brief editorial memo (2-3 pages) summarising overarching structural suggestions, recurring theme issues, and next-step recommendations.

If you’ve shepherded other non-fiction or self-help titles in Mandarin, please share a sample chapter you edited or a short before/after excerpt so I can see your approach in action.
