Chemical Lab Safety Handbook

I need a comprehensive yet easy-to-read handbook that introduces the general public to laboratory safety rules and the proper management of chemicals. The guide should use plain language, real-world examples, and clear visuals so anyone—whether they work in a community makerspace, a school science fair, or are simply curious—can understand best practices before ever handling a reagent.
Scope of the content
• Core laboratory safety rules: personal protective equipment, housekeeping, signage, accident prevention, and emergency response.
• Chemical management made simple: purchasing logs, GHS labeling, storage compatibility charts, handling techniques, spill control, and waste disposal.
• Extra value: a quick-reference checklist and printable posters embedded in the appendix for fast posting near work areas.
What I expect as deliverables
1. A fully formatted, camera-ready PDF (A4) of the handbook, ideally 25–40 pages.
2. An editable source file in Word or Google Docs so future updates are easy.
3. Original graphics, icons, or infographics supplied separately in PNG/SVG.
Style & usability notes
• Write in second-person (“you”) whenever giving instructions.
• Keep jargon to a minimum; define any unavoidable technical terms.
• Whenever possible, anchor rules in international standards such as OSHA, NFPA, or ISO, properly cited.
• While my priority is a detailed guide, I may later adapt it into a brochure or slide deck, so please structure headings and visual elements with that flexibility in mind.
