Video Editor for TikTok & Instagram Reels (Fitness/Gym Content)
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m looking for a video editor who specializes in short-form vertical fitness content, specifically for TikTok and Instagram Reels. The content will be a mix of educational fitness tips, gym humor/skits, motivational clips, and workout vlogs. The style I’m after is inspired by the clean, structured, and retention-focused editing used by top science‑fitness YouTubers — the kind that balances clarity with energy, and really emphasizes cutting to maximize engagement.
I will provide raw footage, voiceovers/audio, notes, and reference videos to clearly communicate the style and tone I want. I post 1–2 videos per week, so I need someone reliable for long-term collaboration.
Budget:
My budget is $12.50 USD per Reel/TikTok, for 1–2 videos per week, on a long-term basis.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Edit vertical short-form videos (primarily 7–30 seconds).
• Build strong hooks in the first 1–2 seconds that immediately communicate what the video is about or tease the value.
• Design scannable and clean thumbnails that reflect the content and draw clicks.
• Use precise pacing: not too flashy, but sharp cuts — pacing should support education + motivation, not distract.
• Include relevant B-roll and overlays: workout clips, graphics, cutaways, zooms — enough to illustrate key points without overdoing it.
• Use clean on-screen text to highlight key takeaways or points, but don’t clutter — clarity > decoration.
• Use smooth transitions (cutaways, jump cuts) to keep flow, but not so much that it feels chaotic.
• Sync voiceovers, music, and workout footage seamlessly.
• Basic sound cleanup and color correction to maintain a polished look.
• Keep a consistent visual identity across videos.
What I’m Looking For:
• Experience editing fitness or gym content (especially short or educational fitness content).
• A good sense of pacing: being able to cut to punchy points, but also let important messages land.
• Creativity: not just editing the footage, but thinking about how to make educational content engaging (through timing, overlays, and structure).
• Minimal “gimmicky” effects: I prefer straightforward, smart editing over overly flashy, busy transitions.
• Strong communication and consistent delivery.
Content Volume:
• 1–2 Reels or TikToks per week.
Deliverables:
• Final vertical video (9:16) optimized for TikTok/Reels.
• A compelling hook (first 1–2 seconds).
• Custom thumbnail for each video.
• Alternate versions if needed (e.g., with and without captions).
Turnaround Time:
• Ideally 24–48 hours per video after receiving raw materials.
Plus Points (Not Required):
• Previous experience working with fitness creators.
• Familiarity with trending TikTok/Reels formats in the fitness space.
• Ability to suggest hook ideas or narrative structure based on reference content.
Requirements:
• All raw footage and final edits remain private (do not publish or reuse).
• Good, consistent communication.
• Shortlisted editors may be asked to do a 10–15 second test edit based on the reference style.
To Apply:
Please include:
• Examples of your past TikTok/Reels/Shorts edits (especially fitness-related).
• Confirmation you agree to $12.50 per video.
• Your typical turnaround time.
• A short note about how you would approach editing in the style described (hooks, pacing, B-roll, and structure).
• Willingness to use reference videos that I will provide for inspiration.
