I’m commissioning a full-length stage script that lays bare the personal experiences of breast cancer, told in a raw, heart-wrenching tone that speaks directly to patients and survivors.
Scope
• 90-minute (approx.) play with 2–5 lead characters and flexible supporting roles so it can be staged by community, regional, or professional theatres.
• Authentic dialogue, clear stage directions, and scene transitions that capture diagnosis, treatment, and the emotional fallout without drifting into medical jargon.
• A dramatic structure that invites empathy while still offering flickers of hope—moments of levity are fine, but the prevailing mood should remain intense and honest.
• Brief author’s notes outlining key themes, suggested set pieces, and any sound or lighting cues that heighten the story’s impact.
