Eldest Daughters Community: Digital Content, Community Growth & Events Outreach
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
Social Media Researcher & Content Creator
(for a Community for Eldest Daughters & Recovering Self-Sacrificers)
Who We Are
Ada Love is a global platform for eldest daughters and recovering self-sacrificers—those learning to honor their own hearts without abandoning the families, cultures, or spiritual roots that shaped them. As we prepare to launch our social media presence, we’re looking for a strategic, visually-minded content partner with experience on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook to help us bring this brand to life.
What You’ll Do
• Research and identify creators, communities, and influencers relevant to our mission
• Assist with outreach to potential collaborators and community members
• Drive awareness and registrations for community building & brand awareness events
• Collaborate with the founder to develop a culturally-informed brand narrative
We’re Looking For
• Aspiring social media strategists who love creating and consuming content—and who are also socially comfortable engaging in real life (this role includes outreach and light ambassadorship)
• Candidates with experience in, or deep empathy for, our target audience—and an ability to attune to our tone, message, and positioning
• Creators familiar with community-first brands (vs. personal brands, individualist creators, or commercially-driven influencer accounts)—ideally with experience in social impact, nonprofit, or mission-led work
• Confident Canva users with strong visual taste; we’re flexible here, as brand strategy and visual design support is available
• Excellent writers and communicators who understand how tone, channel, and clarity matter in outreach (email, DMs, Slack, etc.)
• Bonus: lived experience or resonance with the eldest daughter/family caretaker dynamic
Structure & Compensation
• We begin with a paid trial, structured as a fixed-fee contract with clearly scoped milestones to ensure mutual fit and success
• Depending on your platform assignment, the initial milestone will focus on strategic setup, followed by milestones for content creation and outreach to grow our following
• If the trial goes well, the role may expand into an ongoing engagement—either hourly or as a weekly retainer for a fixed scope of work
To Apply
• Share social media feeds or online communities you’ve helped build
• Tell us what stands out to you about our mission, and how your personal or professional background prepares you for this role
• Let us know where you’re based. (We are prioritizing growth in West Africa--Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya; Africans/Black Diaspora in South Africa, UK, US & Canada, in that order.) Please also indicate your availability for live syncs in EST and your current weekly capacity
• This is not a full-time role. After the trial, we anticipate a 5–8 hour/week commitment, but this is a chance to get in on the ground floor of a culture-shifting brand and movement
