About Modern Shelving

Modern Shelving is celebrating 25 years of designing and manufacturing premium aluminum shelving systems in California.

We work with homeowners, architects, interior designers, builders, developers, and commercial projects throughout North America. We are exhibiting at the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (AIA26) in San Diego and are looking for an energetic local content creator to help capture the event.

In addition to our booth, we will be recording content for our Behind the Shelves Podcast, interviewing architects, designers, builders, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a San Diego-based content creator who can:

* Capture high-quality video and photos throughout the event
* Conduct short interviews with attendees and architects
* Assist with podcast recording sessions
* Capture product demonstrations and booth activity
* Create organized content that can be edited by our remote media team

Editing is NOT required.

Our internal editing team will handle all post-production.

Your focus will be capturing great footage, finding interesting stories, and helping us create engaging content opportunities throughout the show.

Modern Shelving will provide:

* DJI Osmo Pocket 3
* DJI Mic 2 Wireless Audio System
* Booth lighting
* Podcast setup
* Content direction and shot lists

You are welcome to use your own equipment if preferred.

Capture:

* Architect interviews
* Product demonstrations
* Booth interactions
* Behind the Shelves Podcast interviews
* General AIA show floor footage
* B-roll of exhibits and attendees
* Customer testimonials
* Team interactions

We are looking for someone who is comfortable approaching people and helping create natural, engaging conversations on camera.

Experience with:

* Trade shows
* Conferences
* Events
* Social media content creation
* Interview-style content
* Architecture, design, construction, or commercial interiors is a plus

Strong communication skills are more important than advanced editing skills.
