PE-Stamped CMU Wall Drawings
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a California-licensed structural engineer to prepare a complete, PE-stamped drawing set and calculation package for an Over-The-Counter permit submittal at San Francisco DBI (ZIP 94112).
Project context
• Six-foot-tall CMU boundary wall along a flat rear-alley driveway.
• Layout: 15'-10" CMU segment, 14' sliding gate opening, then an 8' CMU segment.
• Construction: standard 8x16x8 concrete blocks with vertical and horizontal rebar, a continuous reinforced footing spanning the driveway threshold, and independent structural-steel gate posts bolted to their own concrete footings.
What I have and don’t have
No preliminary engineering assessments or surveys have been completed, so the package will start from your calculations. All features are already defined; no additional elements are expected. I need standard structural details with notes—enough for DBI reviewers without over-specifying every component.
Deliverables (PDF + native CAD preferred)
1. Signed and California-stamped structural drawings: plan, elevations, sections, footing details, rebar schedules, gate-post anchorage, and all relevant general notes.
2. Structural calculations demonstrating compliance with the current CBC, SF amendments, and site wind/seismic criteria.
3. Title 24 special inspection notes, if required for masonry or welding.
4. Response support for one round of DBI comments, should they arise.
Please outline:
• A flat fee for the scope above.
• Estimated turnaround time from notice to proceed to ready-to-submit documents.
• Any assumptions you must make (soil bearing, surcharge, etc.) so I can verify or supply data early.
