Site Setting-Out & Datums

I’m getting ready to break ground on a building-construction job and need an experienced setting-out professional to visit site, establish reliable datums, and mark all reference points before trades arrive.

Scope of work
• Arrive on site with your own calibrated total station or equivalent survey kit.
• Establish a primary benchmark and at least one back-up datum tied to OS/grid coordinates.
• Set out gridlines at agreed offsets so foundations, columns, walls, and partitions can be located accurately later.
• Pin, spray, or nail markers clearly; label them so every team on site can recognise the system.
• Supply a concise setting-out sketch or CAD layout showing coordinates, offsets, and benchmark levels so we have a permanent record for the site file.

What I’ll provide
• Latest PDF drawings and a DWG if you prefer.
• Site access and a designated contact to walk you through any constraints.

Acceptance
Markers must be within ±5 mm horizontally and ±3 mm vertically of the agreed control points. All coordinates to be handed over the same day you complete the work.
