Residential Tender Takeoff and BOQ
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a small-scale residential job coming up and I want to lodge a clean, professional labour-only tender. I already possess basic architectural sketches; what I need now is for someone to read those drawings, measure every brick, block and joint, and turn the results into a fully structured Bill of Quantities that I can drop straight into my bid package.
Scope
• Trade covered: brickwork / masonry only – no plumbing, electrical or other packages are required at this stage.
• Source material: PDF sketches (plan, elevations, sections) plus any notes you request from me for clarification.
• Output format: an editable spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets) showing measurement sheets, detailed BOQ with item codes and descriptions, subtotal pages, and a final labour summary ready for pricing.
Acceptance criteria
1. Quantities traceable back to drawing references so I can spot-check them quickly.
2. All calculations kept transparent (no hidden cells or locked formulas).
3. File delivered within the agreed timeframe, leaving me at least two days before tender close for final pricing tweaks.
If you work with industry tools such as Bluebeam, Planswift or CostX, mention it; otherwise any clear and reproducible method is fine. Accuracy is key, but I value a tidy, logical layout just as much because this document goes straight to my client. Once you review the sketches, let me know if you foresee any grey areas so we can resolve them before you start measuring.
