I’m ready to invite bids for a local-council renovation of an existing residential building balconies and need a quantity surveyor who can turn their drawings and outline scope into a complete, professional tender package. The project is firmly in the Construction category—specifically a Renovation of a Residential property—so accuracy and council-compliant formatting are critical.
What I’m expecting from you
• A fully measured Bill of Quantities prepared to the relevant standard (NRM2 or SMM7—please state which you will use).
• Preliminaries, form of tender, schedule of rates, and any other documentation the council requires for contractors to price the job without further clarification.
• Clear, editable files in Excel and Word/PDF so the council can issue them directly.
• Brief notes highlighting any assumptions or provisional sums you include.
Acceptance criteria
The tender pack must align with the council’s procurement template (I’ll supply it), reference all drawing numbers correctly, and show consistent quantities across every section. I will review the draft once; final approval follows any amendments from that review.
