NRM2 Manual Take-Off Assignment
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I’m working on a coursework assignment that requires a fully worked-up manual take-off using the RICS NRM2 rules of measurement. The scope I have to measure covers the early stages of a small building:
• stripping and retaining topsoil
• reduced-level excavation and disposal
• external trench excavation and concrete trench foundations
• brickwork to both skins of a cavity wall up to DPC level, with all associated disposal of spoil.
What I need from you is a clearly presented set of dimension papers (hand-written sheets, Excel, or CostX style print-outs are all fine as long as they follow NRM2 conventions), the abstract, and the final measured bill items coded exactly as NRM2 requires. Please reference every quantity back to the relevant drawing, note the measurement rules you have applied, and show any side-calculations so the assessor can follow the logic.
Deliverables:
1. Dimension sheets with logical coding and squaring/ A taking off list /Measurement in the traditional format.
2. Marked up drawings
3. Draft Bill of Quantities ready for pricing.
4. Short explanatory note highlighting any assumptions.
5.A query and answer sheet
Accuracy and adherence to NRM2 are critical; the submission must be clear enough for an academic marker to trace every figure. If you have recent experience teaching or preparing NRM2 take-offs, that will be a big plus. I’m aiming to complete this within the next few days, so please let me know how quickly you can turn it around and whether you can start immediately.
