Metric PVC Pipe Measurement

Job ID: 32014071

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

NOTE: If you live in the United States, please ignore this project. This is intended for someone who lives in a country where the metric system is used.

I’m in the early stage of designing an item in the United States using US (Imperial measurement) ½” PVC pipe. I also want to test the use of similar metric PVC pipe, but unfortunately I could not find metric pipe here in the US, and metric pipe vendors in other countries do not offer pipe shipment to the US.

I need someone with local access to metric PVC pipe to purchase a few pieces, test assemble them by hand (no glue or cement needed) and report back to me the resulting measurements. The PVC parts to be used are:
20 mm PVC pipe --- one piece of pipe at least 35 cm long
20 mm PVC 3-way elbow fittings --- two fittings needed

The project requires you to:
1) Purchase the PVC pipe and fittings noted above
2) Cut the pipe to a specified length
3) Assemble the elbows onto the pipe ends (by hand, no tools or cement)
4) Measure the resulting assembly (accurate to nearest mm)
5) Take a photo of the assembly clearly showing
- the label on the pipe specifying 20 mm size
- the elbows properly assembled
- the metal ruler or metal tape measure of at least 35 cm long, with measurements down to 1 mm
6) Send me the photo and measurements

I’ve attached a PDF file to this project post with a more detailed set of instructions, diagrams, and a sample photo.
