Commercial Bid Cost Estimator Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I run a small, union-friendly contracting firm in California and I’m looking for a seasoned construction cost estimator who can sharpen our numbers on upcoming commercial bids.
What I need:
• A complete bid-ready cost estimate for each project, built from accurate labor production hours per task and current California pricing.
• Clear trade-by-trade cost breakdowns that show labor, material, equipment, mark-ups, and indirects.
• A concise summary sheet I can drop straight into our bid package.
About the work:
The projects are commercial (office fit-outs, mixed-use tenant improvements, small retail shells). Drawings and specs are issued; I’ll supply plans in PDF and any addenda as they arrive. You’ll turn around the estimate, flag scope gaps, and suggest value-engineering opportunities when you see them.
To be considered, tell me:
• The estimating disciplines you handle (CSI divisions, trades, specialties).
• Which companies or GCs you’ve built bids for.
• The software and cost databases you lean on (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, RSMeans, Sage Estimating, etc.).
• Typical timeline you need once drawings land in your inbox.
I’m looking for someone who can hit the ground running and grow with us as more work lands on the table. If your numbers are tight and your communication is clear, we’ll keep sending drawings your way.
