I need a local qualified civil engineer to visit my potential project site and give me clear, practical advice on how well the current plans and existing conditions align with local zoning laws and building codes. The focus is purely consultative—I am not looking for a full survey or an exhaustive structural inspection, but rather an expert eye on regulatory hurdles that could slow permitting or trigger costly redesigns. Any experience with land development for residential or lite commercial will be very useful.
During the visit you will review my preliminary drawings, walk the lot with me, and flag any zoning issues such as setbacks, height limits, coverage ratios, easements, or use restrictions.
Deliverables (to be sent within three days of the visit):
• A concise written report
• A 30-minute follow-up call to clarify any items
You should hold current professional licensure in civil engineering (or closely related discipline) valid in this jurisdiction, be familiar with our municipal ordinances, and be comfortable discussing code citations on the spot.
