Senior Cost Control Engineer Needed

Position Title: Senior Cost Control Engineer
Location: Remote (Egypt-Based)
Employment Type: Part-Time (30 hours/week)
Position Overview:
MID Construction Group is seeking a Cost Control Manager to support our U.S.-based operations remotely from Egypt. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in cost control, with a strong background working with general contractors. This role involves managing project budgets, reporting, forecasting, and enhancing internal cost control procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models
Create and maintain S-curves, invoicing plans, and cost tracking dashboards
Prepare cost reports: Actuals vs. Budget, Forecast-to-Complete, and Estimate at Completion
Analyze and incorporate change orders and financial impacts
Perform risk identification and develop mitigation plans
Enhance cost control procedures and systems across the department
Collaborate with Estimating, Procurement, Finance, and Scheduling teams
Present performance summaries and insights to senior leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance
5+ years of cost control experience (U.S. or equivalent market preferred)
Strong understanding of construction cost systems, ERP tools, and EVM methodologies
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
Experience with tools like SAP, Oracle Primavera, Procore, CostX
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-time-zone team
Preferred:
Certified Cost Professional (CCP), PMI-SP, or PMP
Experience in subcontractor buyout, billing, and scheduling (Primavera P6/MS Project)
Background in commercial, multi-family, or industrial construction
