Residential Structural Design Mentor
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I want to work one-on-one with an experienced residential structural engineer in Victoria who can guide me through the practical side of townhouse design. My goal is to strengthen my command of overall structural integrity and compliance with local regulations, so every session will revolve around real projects currently on my desk.
We will meet by video call once or twice each week, after standard business hours, for 60–120 minutes. During each call I will share the current footing layout, slab plan, beam schedule or retaining-wall detail and ask you to walk me through the calculations, code clauses and reasoning that shape your decisions. I learn fastest when you can sketch on screen, reference the NCC and relevant Australian Standards, and, if helpful, demonstrate software such as RAPT, Microstran, SpaceGass or any preferred analysis tool.
The weekly deliverable is simple: clear explanations, annotated mark-ups or calculation snapshots that I can keep for future reference.
