Quantity Surveyor for Construction Tender Preparation

Project Overview:
I am looking for an experienced freelancer to act as a cost consultant or quantity surveyor representing the client for an upcoming tender preparation task. You will be required to carry out the necessary measurements and prepare an unpriced Bill of Quantities (BQ) for a designated construction project.

Scope of Work:
You will need to prepare the BQ for the following specific work sections based on the provided drawings:


Groundworks: Topsoil (vegetable soil) excavation, bulk excavation (basement), pit excavations for pad footings (PF1 - PF9) and raft footings (RF1 and RF2), and trench excavation for strip footings (SF1 and SF2).


Concrete Works: Pad footings (PF1-PF9), raft footings (RF1 and RF2), strip footings (SF1 and SF2), columns on Basement 3, Basement 3 Slab (excluding ramps and stairs), and blinding concrete under pad and raft footings.


Formworks: Pad footings (PF1-PF9), raft footings (RF1 and RF2), strip footings (SF1 and SF2), and columns on Basement 3.

Technical Requirements:


Measurement Standards: All works must be measured and described strictly in accordance with the Standard Method of Measurement applicable in Australia (ANZSMM).


Software: The unpriced BQ must be completed using a suitable software package, such as CostX.

Deliverables:
I require a single A4 PDF document that includes:

The fully prepared, un-priced BQ.

All relevant annotated or marked-up drawings.

Screenshots of the computer-based measurements clearly showing how the measurements were done.

Any supplementary calculations and a clear statement of any assumptions made during the process.

Quality Assurance Standards:
The final deliverables will be reviewed against the following professional standards:

High accuracy and appropriateness of the measured quantities.

Strict understanding and application of ANZSMM measurement principles and correct item descriptions.

Clear, professional presentation of supporting documentation (marked-up drawings and measurement screenshots).

A well-structured, formatted, and professionally presented report and BQ setout.
