Role : A project manager is required for coordination of remedial works related to an insurance flood claim project in Fig Tree Pocket, Brisbane.
The nature of damage to be managed includes pontoon re installation , boat house repairs , mud/silt removal , 2x25,000 litre water tank, revetment wall repairs , fencing , sprinkler systems and garden lighting etc. Total costs of works are circa $250K . The role could suit a recently retired construction professional looking for casual employment.

Work required :
• Coordination of the remedial builder and other trades involved.
• ascertaining trades to carry out some of the tasks and assisting in engaging them
• regular meeting with builder and client to progress the works
• preparing of reports to loss adjuster to support client’s insurance claims
• attend site to give any instructions required by contractors
• ensure proper quality work is being carried out
Skills required :
• Past working experience in construction management
• Some knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
• knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Sound project management skills including excel spreadsheeting
• a degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is beneficial but not necessary

Other requirements :
• Your own ABN.
• Ability to attend the site easily and on a regular basis. The role cannot be performed remotely.

Hours required :
It is expected that approximately 100 hours of work would be involved during the project life (although no guarantee can be given of this) . Approximately 5 hours per week. These hours will be during week days
Project Timeframe :
It is expected that the project will run from mid April 2022 to end of August /September 2022.
Remuneration:
$150 per hour plus GST.
