Part Time Civil Engineer for Supervision of Residential Building at Kolkata only

Job Role: Part Time Civil Engineer Consultation (Advisory & Quality Supervision)
Project: Residential G+3 Building at South Kolkata
Engagement Type: Part-time Freelance Consultancy
Duration: 10-15 months
Scope of Work
1. Act as an independent freelance civil engineering consultant on an advisory basis.
2. Carry out minimum three (3) site visits per week during active construction stages.
3. Supervise construction works for quality of workmanship and materials in accordance with approved structural and architectural drawings.
4. Identify deviations from drawings or standard practices and advise corrective measures to the contractor and owner.
5. Verify quantities submitted by the contractor in running account (RA) and final bills based on site measurements and observations.
6. Provide technical advice and guidance to the owner/site staff whenever required.
7. Coordinate with architect, structural engineer, and contractor only for technical clarification.
Limitations of Role
• The role is strictly advisory in nature.
• No responsibility for execution, project delays, cost overruns, or contractor performance.
• No authority to certify payments, approve rates, or issue statutory/structural certifications.
• Quantity verification is indicative and advisory only; final responsibility rests with the contractor and owner.
Visit & Reporting
• Site visits shall be conducted part-time and not on a full-time or resident basis.
• Observations and advice may be communicated verbally or in brief written form, as mutually agreed.
Fee & Payment
• Fees shall be paid on a per-visit basis or as a fixed lump-sum contractual consultancy, as mutually agreed between the parties.
• Payment terms and frequency shall be defined separately in the consultancy agreement.
